Beyond Bitcoin - Blockchain for Business

  • Get Started Level 1, 195 Little Collins Street Melbourne Australia (map)

*****SOLD OUT*****

Thanks to the hype and sky-rocketing values of bitcoin, ethereum and the like, blockchain - the technology underpinning these crypto-currencies - has quickly become a household word.

Whilst it’s perhaps too early to make a call on whether blockchain is a bigger revolution than the internet, it is clear that it can provide much needed trust, accountability and transparency in an age of growing digital partnerships and the looming threat of cyber-crime.

Blockchains can enable better information sharing and better business processes, giving stakeholders more confidence and reducing cost, risk and the need for intermediaries.

Potential applications appear endless, so in this event our panel will be discussing:

  • Opportunities for applying blockchain technology for:
    • Quality assurance
    • Smart contracts
    • Supply chain management
    • Verifying identity
  • Limitations and risks associated with implementing the technology
