Innovation Leadership Forum

  • Lessons from the Edge (VIC)
  • Open Forums

On a roughly fortnightly basis, the Churchill Club runs "Open Forums", alternating between emerging technology topics and entrepreneurship skills reviews.  We call our forums, Open Forums, as they differ quite substantially from regular panel based events; with heated discussions regularly occurring in our intimate environment.

The principles that underlay our Open Forums are:
    • The panelists are not so much experts, but are selected for different points of view and experiences to share on the evening's topic.
    • The audience's unique experiences and perspectives are also recognized.
    • The conversation isn't controlled to a specific outcome.
    • The audience isn't passive and is encouraged to ask questions of the panelists and each other.
    • Plus - No Spin, Hype and no Powerpoint.

The evenings normally kick off at 5:30pm for drinks and networking with the Open Forum starting at 6:00pm.  Each panelist gets 5 mins to outline their experiences, credibility and major thoughts, then we open up to audience Q&A.  The forum closes at 7:30pm and we are normally all done by 8:00pm.

Our evenings are limited to 40 attendees, but are open to both members and the public.  All you have to do after registering online is turn up and be vocal.  You will be issued a nametag printed for you.

We hate people not registering but wanting to turn up and pay at the door, as it makes it impossible to cater and we don't want to handle cash or credit cards while we have a glass of red in out hands.

Our upcoming Open Forums are listed here.
