Innovation Leadership Forum

Innovation Leadership Forum

Following the success of the Innovation Leadership Summit in 2006, a series of events have been planned for 2007, including another Innovation Leadership Summit.

The objective of the Innovation Leadership Summit 2007 and associated events is to continue to raise the quality of debate around the innovation agenda in Australia. There are enormous opportunities to promote innovation as not only the most important source of productivity growth and wealth creation, but also the means by which the complex and vexatious issues confronting Australia in energy, the environment and health might be resolved.

Last year’s Summit culminated in the production of a Manifesto for an Innovative Australia. This has been widely disseminated and discussed.  A full transcript of the Melbourne Summit appears in the journal: Innovation: Management, Policy and Practice.  The Summit also led to the creation of the Innovation Leadership Forum, a group of innovation leaders from business, academia and government. The Forum, which is chaired by Catherine Livingstone, held its first meeting in the Fairfax Boardroom on 17th July, hosted by BRW.

The 2007 Program includes:

03 Sep 2007 - Brisbane
Innovation in Small and Medium Enterprises

03 Oct 2007 - Canberra
Innovation and Procurement Policy

30 Nov 2007 - Melbourne
The 2nd Annual Innovation Leadership Summit
